Experience
With decades of experience serving public and private utility
and energy organizations, you can leverage our deep understanding
of the current energy and regulatory landscape. We have counseled
Cardinal Ethanol—the only new "grass roots" ethanol
plant under construction or operation in Indiana—regarding
various matters including its over $100,000,000 in contraction
loan and credit facilities from First National Bank of Omaha.
The Hoosier Heartland produces great crops. With deep connections
throughout Indiana’s farming community, Bingham McHale has
been a partner to local farmers and global suppliers, such as Tyson
Foods, Cargill, Wabash Valley, Farbest Foods and Boarshead. We
also have worked with suppliers/wholesalers, such as Consolidated
Grain & Barge and Wabash Valley Produce, to achieve strategic
business goals.
With personal and professional roots—including an office
in Dubois County (home to Indiana’s wood furniture industry)—we
have been involved with the hardwood industry’s growth for
more than 20 years. We help clients tackle the concerns of the
twenty-first century’s global economy, such as intellectual
property issues that dominate international competition.
Surprisingly, wind energy is not so much about energy and power as
it is about land: where do you put these very tall windmills? We
leveraged our real estate experience to help site the largest wind
farm in Indiana. Of course, our extensive knowledge of and connections
in the utility industry didn’t hurt.
