Alternative Dispute Resolution

Utilization of alternate dispute resolution (ADR) strategies and formats by business entities and individuals, particularly professionals, has increased exponentially in recent years. At Bingham McHale, our attorneys have significant experience and accreditation in ADR techniques and provide our clients with services designed to promptly and efficiently resolve disputes while avoiding more time-consuming and often unpredictable resolution in the litigation arena.

Some of the many beneficial aspects of mediation, arbitration, mini-trials and summary jury trials as compared to traditional trial process include: a prompt result versus a prolonged one; a private result versus a public one; the avoidance of an adverse precedent; a predictable result often decided and crafted by the parties as opposed to an uncertain outcome decided by a judge or jury; the opportunity to lessen tensions and strengthen business relationships in a controlled, forward-looking environment.

Our ADR team members bring technical knowledge, creative resolution strategies, patience and honed listening skills to the ADR process.
