Indianapolis, Ind. – John  S. Chappell will receive the Distinguished Citizen  Award at the 15th Annual Distinguished Citizen Banquet on October 3. The Lincoln Heritage District – Boy Scouts of America presents the award for outstanding community leadership and service.

Chappell practices in the areas of real estate, finance, estate planning and probate law. He earned his law degree in 1972 at Indiana University, Bloomington, J.D., after receiving his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 1969. Chappell was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1972; U.S. District Court, Southern District of Indiana in 1974, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit in 1974.
