11.28.2007 Indianapolis, Ind. – Bingham McHale paralegals did it again! For the second year in a row, Bingham McHale paralegals collected the most bears in the Indianapolis Bar Association’s (IBA) Paralegal Committee’s Bear Challenge. They exceeded their 2006 total of 912 by collecting 1,883 bears and other stuffed animals. Dorothy Mitchell, accounting department, collected 1,160 bears and received a plaque from the IBA.
Members of the IBA Paralegal Committee collect new and gently used teddy bears and other stuffed animals to assist the Metropolitan Police Department and Indianapolis Fire Department in their Bears on Patrol program. Officers often encounter children who are victims of traumatic incidents and thanks to the Bears on patrol program, they are able to provide these children with a stuffed “friend” to bring them comfort in their time of need.
Bingham McHale, a multidisciplinary business law firm serving regional, national and international clients, is one of the largest law firms in Indiana with offices in Indianapolis (downtown & Keystone Crossing), Jasper and Vincennes, Ind.
